About this Customised Information

We know that the amount of information available about different cancer types, tests and treatments can be a bit overwhelming.

To try to help with this, we created the Patient Journey section of the site.  The idea is that you can view information that is specifically relevant to your circumstances.

Your Questions. This section contains "shortcuts" answering some of the specific questions we've been asked by members of our target audience such as men with prostate cancer, their families, and the health professionals who treat them.

Patient Journey. Use the patient journey headings to find information which is relevant to your experience as a patient or carer. This information is set out as a ‘time-line’ to help you find the information you need.

How did we come up with these approaches?

Both of these sections have been "user-led" in their development.  The patient journey was created by a prostate cancer patient; the users' questions are the questions we've been asked in our consultations with users, support groups and health professionals.

Of course, everyone is different so you probably won't get a perfect set of information for your needs.  However, we are particularly keen to make sure that this part of the site reflects what our users want, so do tell us your unanswered prostate cancer questions or unmet information needs.
