Spotlight on the NCCN

26 August 2010

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network, or NCCN, is an American, not-for-profit alliance of 21 of the country's leading cancer centres.  It is funded via the NCCN Foundation, by private philanthropy and through grants.

The purpose of the NCCN.com website is "to educate patients with cancer to engage in more informed conversations with health care providers so they can live longer and better quality lives."

We decided to include this non-UK resource because it covers some ground that is not well covered by UK sources, and because of the clarity of its information.

The site also contains useful resources for health professionals that are not covered elsewhere.
