Site upgrade

This month, we made a few changes to UK Prostate Link.

We added short descriptions to each of the 150-odd topics in our prostate cancer taxonomy.  Hopefully this will improve the usability of the lists of links, as it will be easier for you to tell what they are about!

Many thanks to both our Reference Group and Steering Group for their help in this mammoth task. If you have any comments or suggestions for new topics, please let us know.

We also made some changes to help promote the site's visibility in search engines and the like.

  • The URLs are now more "user-friendly" (e.g. www.prostate-link.org.uk/information/treatments/) 
  • We've added an "AddThis" link on every page.  You can use this to share links to specific resources from your Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other services.  Click the button to share the information you've found!
  • The site metadata has been updated to be more search-engine friendly.
  • Every page now has a "site map" at the bottom:  this should make it easier to browse the specific topic you need.
