12 months in Prostate Cancer research

NHS Evidence - Cancer have published a review of the past year's research on prostate cancer. The review is part of an Annual Evidence Update or AEU.

AEUs aim to identify all of the best quality information surrounding a particular health topic.  The AEU is relevant for both professionals and patients who have an interest in keeping up to date with the latest evidence based prostate cancer research.

The Prostate Cancer Annual Evidence Update 2010 covers topics such as:

  • Causes,
  • Risks and Prevention
  • Screening
  • Assessment and Diagnosis
  • Treatment and Disease management

This year's AEU includes a guest editorial by Roger Kockelbergh (Clinical Director & Consultant Urological Surgeon Renal and Urology Services Haemodialysis unit Leicester General Hospital) and a list of clinical guidance and high quality systematic reviews that have been published since March 2009.
